Black authors make Dylan Thomas Literary Prize shortlist

The prestigious shortlist includes writers from around the world

THREE BLACK AUTHORS alongside eight other nominees have been shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas literary prize.

This year’s list is made up of eight women and four men from around the world, and the £30,000 prize is awarded to the best published literary work in the English language, written by an author aged 39 or under.

Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah, from New York, is nominated ffor his first book Friday Black, which is a collection of short stories, while British Ghanaian writer Michael Donkor, is shortlisted for his debut novel Hold.
