Yemi Adenuga moved to Ireland in 2000
GOGGLEBOX STAR Yemi Adenuga has made history, after she became the first black female councillor to be elected to a county council in Ireland.
Known for her appearance on the popular Channel 4 show, Adenuga celebrated her election win by posting a video on Twitter on her surrounded by supporters. She wrote: “That moment we made history! First black woman elected into a county council in Ireland!!! OUR GOD IS AWESOME!!! God will never share his glory with anyone!!! VICTORY.”
