AnimeKon, a celebration of popular culture and entertainment including anime, comics, gaming, film, television and cosplay is underway at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
The convention now in its ninth year is being held under the theme World of Wonder. It features several international actors and cosplayers, including Manu Bennett, who is best known for portraying the character Crixus in the critically acclaimed Spartacus film series.
Creative Director of AnimeKon Mellissa Young said the AnimeKon expo was created to provide a platform for the typically untapped segments of the creative industries, “so it serves as an incubator for Caribbean nationals of all ages where they can unleash their imaginative and innovative talent.”
