The public memorial will take place in Detroit
ARETHA FRANKLIN's family have announced plans to hold an open casket memorial in the singer's hometown of Detroit.
The Queen of Soul passed away yesterday (Aug 16) at the age of 76 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
According to TMZ, the iconic singer's public memorial will be held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit.
