Arms accused back in court next month

Accused of bringing illegal firearms and ammunition into Barbados, two men have been remanded to prison until September 7.

Dario Davone Daone Oliver, 26, a painter, of 6D Wotton, Christ Church, and Jason Antonio, a 34-year-old car washer of Ashby Land, Lodge Road, Christ Church, are accused of five counts of importing and possessing a number of illegal firearms and seven rounds of ammunition between August 1 and 8.

The accused were not required to plead when they appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick over the weekend in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court.
