Bridget Carleton hit the hardwood in China and Japan this summer. She may also go to Spain next month for the FIBA Basketball Women’s World Cup.
After all that globetrotting, the Chatham native will come home in November with her Iowa State Cyclones for a game at St. Clair College’s Thames Campus HealthPlex.
The Cyclones will play the Eastern Michigan Eagles in an NCAA Division I non-conference game Wednesday, Nov. 21.
Carleton is an all-American entering her senior season at Iowa State.
She’s currently vying for a spot on Canada’s national women’s team, which will play at the World Cup on Sept. 22-30 in Tenerife, Spain. Canada is fifth in the latest FIBA rankings.
Carleton earned honourable mention to the Associated Press’s All-America team last season after leading the Cyclones with 19.2 points per game, the third-highest single-season total in Iowa State history.
She also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game. She was a top 10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award, which goes annually to the best small forward in the NCAA.
The McGregor graduate ranks 15th in Iowa State career scoring with 1,382 points.
