The National HIV/AIDS Commission will again be parked at Mahalia’s Corner, as it uses the entertainment showcase, to encourage patrons to replenish the HIV Food Bank.
The donations of non-perishable food products and toiletries will go to the HIV Food Bank which is in "urgent need" of general food and hygiene items to distribute to its clients, said manager Stacia Whittaker.
A special food drive during the show on Sunday, September 16, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre is in response to an urgent national appeal, according to a release from the commission.
"We are urging patrons to give whatever they can to assist those who need it," said show co-producer Kris Clarke.
Billed as a platform for launching new talent with weekly shows in September, the music festival is organized by the band 2 Mile Hill through its production company Nexworld Productions.
It features performances by the band, an open-mike session, an introduction to an emerging Spotlight Artist and a special set with a seasoned guest artiste.
The shows start at 8p.m.
