Maroons add two exhibition games

The Chatham Maroons have added two games to their preseason schedule.

They’ll play a home-and-home series with the Vipers at 7 p.m. Wednesday in LaSalle and on Sunday, Sept. 9, at Chatham Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.

The Maroons are 4-0-1-0 in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League preseason. They’ll host the Sarnia Legionnaires at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Arena.

The Maroons were supposed to begin the regular season with two games next weekend at the annual GOJHL showcase in St. Catharines. However, the showcase games were turned into exhibitions and then postponed this week.

The Maroons will now begin the regular season Sunday, Sept. 16, against the Strathroy Rockets at Memorial Arena at 7 p.m.
