The prime minister is keen to strengthen links between the UK and Africa ahead of Brexit
THERESA MAY is concluding the final leg of her Africa visit with a trip to Kenya.
May, who is on her first trip to the country, is the first UK prime minister to visit Kenya since Margaret Thatcher.
The PM has met with Kenya’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta.
She has used her speech to reiterate the UK’s commitment to investing in Africa and building on the relationship between the British and Kenyan authorities’ work to apprehend paedophiles and tackle violence against women and girls.
May said that Kenya holds a special place in the hearts of British people.
