IN CELEBRATION of Black History Month in October, The Voice will be launching a special publication as a part of its ongoing campaign to promote black businesses across the UK.
Black-owned businesses form one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy and according to research by the former London Development Agency, there are approximately 16,000 businesses owned by people of black African and Caribbean descent in London, making up four per cent of all businesses in the capital. They generate a combined annual sales turnover of £10bn and employ 100,000 people.
