Fresh from qualifying for the upcoming World Cup, Jamaica’s national women’s team will play in UK later today
JAMAICA’S WORLD CUP-BOUND Reggae Girlz will play at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground today.
The Reggae Girlz are the first senior women’s team from the Caribbean to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup, some 20 years after the Reggae Boyz made their debut at the FIFA World Cup.
Now they will play Nottingham Forest Ladies in a special fixture in the East Midlands to pay homage to the Windrush Generation.
Sunday’s game will be one of several initiatives by Nottingham Forest, who aim to attract and embrace the city’s African and Caribbean communities to the football club.
