The state minister of foreign affairs and trade, senator Pearnel Charles Jr, said the country will use its resources to encourage more people to come forward
JAMAICA will continue to campaign for the rights of the Windrush Generation to be recognised, the state minister in the ministry of foreign affairs and foreign trade has said.
Senator Pearnel Charles Jr said: “The government will continue to actively advocate for resolution to this Windrush immigration crisis, including the matter of just and adequate compensation to victims.”
He added: “We intend, therefore, to utilise our resources both locally and in the United Kingdom to encourage more persons who have been affected to come forward, seek assistance and to make legitimate claims.”
