Shange passed away age 70
AFRICAN-AMERICAN playwright and poet Ntozake Shange, known for her works addressing issues related to racism, has died at the age of 70.
Shange died during her sleep on Saturday morning, and was her passing was announced by her family on her official Twitter handle.
The writer was known for the acclaimed For Coloured Girls, an award-winning choreopoem- a format which combines poetry, dance, along with acting and music - which was later made into a film of the same name by Tyler Perry.
