The Democratic candidates campaigned as a group under the slogan "Black Girl Magic"
NINETEEN black women who ran for judge in Harris County, Texas, all won.
The women, who campaigned jointly under the slogan “Black Girl Magic”, have been praised for their achievements both nationally and internationally.
United States senator for California Kamala Harris was among those who congratulated the women on their success.
She tweeted: “Now this is Black Girl Magic — all 19 black women who were running to become judges in Harris County, Texas won their races.”
