ALESHA DIXON’S career has gone from strength to strength since her start in the successful UK girl group Mis-Teeq - but the star admits that things for the band were challenging at the start as they faced racial discrimination from music executives.
The BGT host said in a recent interview that she and her Mis-Teeq bandmates were told they would fail by industry bosses because they were black.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I was thinking about something a record company executive said to me once, which was that black girls won't sell records in the UK.
