Mnangagwa: Robert Mugabe ‘unable to walk'

The former president of Zimbabwe has been receiving treatment for ill health in Singapore

ROBERT MUGABE is ‘no longer able to walk’ as a result of his failing health, Zimbabwe’s president Emmerson Mnangagwa has revealed.

The former president of Zimbabwe travelled to Singapore, where he has been for the last two months, to receive medical treatment, Mnangagwa said.

The specific cause of Mugabe’s ill health has not been disclosed.
"He is now old. Of course, he now is unable to walk but whatever he asks for we will provide," the AFP news agency reported Mnangagwa said.

It is understood that Mugabe is expected to return to Zimbabwe next week.
