THE AUTHORS of best-selling book Slay in Your Lane have been awarded £10,000 as winners of The Groucho Club’s Maverick Award.
Elizabeth Uviebinené and Yomi Adegoke were presented with the prize on Wednesday.
Despite being nominated, the pair did not think that they would win. Adegoke revealed that Uviebinené was so unconvinced they would scoop the prize, she was wearing her coat when they were announced as the winners.
