Gittens top-scored with 84 and Bourne finished unbeaten on 57, knocks that lifted the defending champions to 227 for one off their 25 overs at the Empire Ground.
In response, Good Shepherd managed just 92 for nine to hand Bayley’s their sixth overall championship having won in 1993, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2017.
Belle starred with the ball, claiming four for 10 four his four overs.
Bayley’s coach Winfield Forde told Barbados TODAY he was proud of his team achievement and praised the school’s excellent cricket programme.
“We have an excellent programme at Bayley’s school. We take time and work with our boys and the results speaks for itself,” Forde said.
“From 2005 to the present we have reached the semi-final 13 straight years and the final eight times which is a tremendous achievement. So, you can see the programme that we have, and I must commend the coaching staff for their dedication.”
Good Shepherd coach Junior Richards said his side had not lived up to expectations, pointing to loose fielding as one of the problems.
“We just did not execute today. I think we had too many catches dropped and fielding mistakes where the children get overwhelmed when they saw the number of people around them,” he explained.
“But I think that played a part with the fielding because they did not do this all season. But we did our best, and I must give them credit because we get to the final.”
Bayley’s were given a good start by Gittens, who hit seven fours, and Damarko Wiggins who made 31 also with seven fours before being trapped lbw to captain and off-spinner, Oliver Gooding.
Adjudged Most Outstanding wicketkeeper, Gooding showed his his versatility by removing his gloves and claiming the wicket of Wiggins.
Gittens and Bourne then staged a partnership worth well over 100 runs, with the real thrust coming in the last five overs as the belted 68 runs at the death.
Good Shepherd did themselves no favours, sending down 52 extras comprising mainly of 34 wides, and dropping several catches.
In reply, Good Shepherd lost wickets steadily and even though Gooding struck an unbeaten 29, he lacked the necessary support.
Rashad Allman was first to go, bowled around his legs by off-spinner Akobi Crichlow-Byer (2-28) and opening partner Emile Reid followed, bowled by pacer Jayden Chase for 13.
Seth Smith (1) was bowled by Byer and Aaron Harris was fourth out, caught and bowled by Belle for seven.
The innings crumbled thereafter as Belle ran through the middle and lower order.
Raphael Lovell of Milton Lynch Primary claimed the Most Valuable Player award for scoring the most runs of 330 and also for the highest individual score of 143.
