Research shows that many have to do without buying presents or cancel visiting loved ones because of money worries
NEW RESEARCH shows that almost a quarter of Britons (23 per cent) have had to skip buying presents for loved ones due to financial hardship.
But for borrowers of payday loans, this midwinter could look bleaker still, with over half of borrowers admitting to having to forgo presents, and 44 per cent missing out on getting together with family because they can’t afford to go.
The things that many of us take for granted at Christmas – spending time with loved ones and lavish meals– can be out of reach to those in financial difficulties.
