The Chatham-Kent traffic unit has taken over the investigation of a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a 41-year-old Thamesville woman suffering life-threatening injuries.
Emergency crews responded to the crash Monday shortly after 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Countryview Line and Centre Side Road near Dresden.
Police said preliminary investigation has revealed a couple travelling southbound on Centre Side Road in their Buick Regal were struck by a woman travelling westbound on Countryview Line in her Toyota Camry.
The couple also suffered injuries in the crash.
All three people involved were transported to hospital and the Thamesville woman was later airlifted to London for further medical treatment.

Domestic-related charges
A 26-year-old Thamesville man was arrested and taking into custody after Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic dispute in Zone Township Monday morning.
Through investigation, police learned of previous incidents during the couple’s relationship.
The accused was charged with domestic-related offences and placed in custody pending a bail hearing.
Camping supplies stolen
Chatham-Kent police are investigation theft of camping supplies from a business on Keil Drive in Chatham.
Police said sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning $150 in damage was caused when camping trailer was broken into. Afterwards, approximately $900 worth of camping supplies were stolen.
