Free tech workshops offered at CKPL

Got a new device for Christmas and need help getting started? The Chatham-Kent Public Library is offering free tech workshops this winter.

CKPL staff members will teach you how to use your new tablet or smartphone, making it easy to explore library apps for free ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Here are upcoming workshops at the Chatham branch:

iPad/iPhone iOS 12 Basics

10-11 a.m.
Learn the basic functions and operations of iPads and iPhones.

Android Basics
Saturday, Jan.19
2-3 p.m.
Learn the basic functions and operations of Android smartphones and tablets.

Library Apps for your iPad/iPhone
Friday, Jan. 25
2-3 p.m.
Get help installing library apps for free ebooks, eaudiobooks, magazines and more.

Library Apps for your Android Device
Friday, Jan. 25
3:30-4:30 p.m.
Get help installing library apps for free ebooks, eaudiobooks, magazines and more.

Get Appy with your iPad/iPhone
Friday, Feb. 8
10-11 a.m.
Learn how to organize, delete, and add apps from the App Store.

Get Appy with your Android Device
Friday, Feb. 8
2-3 p.m.
Learn how to organize, delete, and add apps from the Play Store.

Registration is required and it is recommended that participants bring their own devices. Call 519-354-2940 or visit search.ckpl.ca and search “tech” to register.
