The co-writer of Michael Jackson's PYT and Ray Charles collaborator has been celebrated by his famous friends
GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING singer-songwriter James Ingram has died aged 66.
Ingram, who co-wrote Michael Jackson’s hit PYT (Pretty Young Thing) with Quincy Jones, died in Los Angeles.
Jones expressed his sadness at the loss of Ingram, who he described as his “baby brother”.
“There are no words to convey how much my [heart] aches with the news of the passing of my baby brother, James Ingram. With that soulful, whisky sounding voice, James was simply magical. He was, & always will be, beyond compare. Rest In Peace my baby bro…You’ll be in my [heart] forever.”
