The special dedication will celebrate the teenager’s life and legacy
THIS YEAR’S London Marathon will feature a tribute to murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence, it has been announced.
A marker will be erected at the 18-mile point of the 26.2 mile course on April 28.
Young architects Ayanna Blair-Ford, Shreeya Radia and Quincy Haynes have designed the marker, which has been named Because of Stephen We Can. The trio came to design the marker after winning a competition, which launched last year to mark what would have been Stephen’s 44th birthday, organised by the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust.
