THE DUCHESS of Sussex is understood to have been shocked when she learned of the lack of black and female professors employed at universities in the Britain.
Reacting to data published by a higher education charity that revealed the overwhelming majority of professors at universities in the UK were white males, the Duchess said: “Oh my God,” The Telegraph reported Dr Rachel Cowen, Manchester University’s lead for equality, diversity and inclusion revealed.
According to research from Advance HE, 68 per cent of British professors are white men, and 23 per cent are white women.
