POLICE HAVE launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in east London.
Police were called at around 8.45pm on Tuesday after reports that a man had been stabbed in Cranbook Road, Ilford. The incident took place near Ilford rail station.
The 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9.20pm.
The victim is the fifth person to die from knife crime in London in nine days.
MP for Ilford South Mike Gapes tweeted that he was “shocked and saddened” to hear of the fatal attack and directed witness or anyone with information to contact the police.
