The Macclesfield Town manager was allegedly subject to "homophobic abuse" from Cheltenham fans
THE FOOTBALL Association (FA) is investigating claims of alleged homophobic abuse directed towards Macclesfield Town boss Sol Campbell.
Discriminatory chants were allegedly chanted to Campbell during Saturday's League Two match at Cheltenham Town.
According to BBC Sport Cheltenham director Paul Godfrey said they were "co-operating" with police to try and identify the "relatively small number" of people responsible.
"We should not have to deal with this kind of behaviour in 2019," he said.
