A YOUNG man has been killed by police as he slept in his car in California.

Willie McCoy, 20, who was known as Willie Bo and a member of rap group FBG, was asleep in his vehicle outside fast-food restaurant Taco Bell when six officers fired their weapons at him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers attended the car park of the restaurant in Vallejo, California, on Saturday night following reports that a person was slumped over the driver’s seat in the Taco Bell drive-through.
