Chatham-Kent police are investigating the theft of approximately $2,500 worth of tools from a building on Gillard Street in Wallaceburg.
Police said entry was gained by force into the building sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.

Impaired driving
A 19-year-old Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges after Chatham-Kent police received a traffic complaint just after 3:30 a.m. Saturday about a vehicle in Harwich Township.
Officers located the vehicle and through investigation believed the accused was driving while under the influence of alcohol, police said.
The man was arrested and brought to police headquarters for breath tests, resulting in him being charged with adult operation while impaired and adult operation while impaired 80-plus, police said.
He was released with an April 17 court date.
Stunt driving
A 22-year-old Blenheim man is facing a stunt driving charge after being clocked traveling 131 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Chatham-Kent police said the accused was recorded on radar while the traffic unit was conducting traffic enforcement on Fairview Line, south of Chatham.
The charge also resulted in the man’s vehicle being impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence being suspended for seven days.
Easter Eggstravaganza
The public is invited to join local first responders at Kingston Park in Chatham for the third annual Easter Eggstravaganza.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to noon, is free for all families with activities geared to children 0-10 years.
