Florida's pandemic death toll may be undercounted by 8,000

Florida's 2020 death toll is as many as 8,000 fatalities higher than a usual year's, even beyond the deaths directly caused by COVID-19, according to a South Florida Sun-Sentinel analysis of CDC data.
