A 24-year-old man facing several voyeurism charges didn’t show up for a court date on Friday.
The court was told Trey Jeffery Wilson needs to confirm he has legal representation. His matter was put over until Sept. 21, with a bench warrant for his arrest being issued, with discretion Two publication bans – one banning the publication of evidence presented in court and the other from identifying victims – have been imposed by the court.
However, according to previously published reports, Wilson is facing 16 counts of voyeurism, four counts of distributing a recording obtained by commission of an offence and four counts of distributing intimate images, in connection to alleged incidents in the locker room of a local fitness club in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police previously reported a complaint was received in May about a man taking photographs using a cellphone in the locker room of GoodLife Fitness, located in the Downtown Chatham Centre.
Police said several complainants were identified after a three month investigation.
Wilson was arrested by members of CKPS major crime unit and charged.
