ZR ‘driven downhill’

Adrian Renaldo Trotman, of Ashbury, St George has been remanded to HMP Dodds for the next 28 days on a criminal offence, which he allegedly committed four months ago.

The 29-year-old conductor is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Frederick Hinkson on April 14.

Sergeant Edwin Pinder told Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant the accused was not a fit candidate for bail-based on the seriousness of the offence and the strengthen of the evidence against him.

“It is likely that he would reoffend as the charge has its genesis in the ZR culture,” the prosecutor submitted.

In his application Hinkson explained that he had “just [gotten] a little job”

“The last year and a half has just been going downhill . . . and I barely get my head above water. I have been going from the mental [hospital] to Verdun [House],” he said just before his bail application was rejected.

Trotman will make his next appearance in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court on October 5.
