The former Arsenal and Chelsea player has opened up about negative media coverage, failing to connect with fans and his career highlights as part of a new documentary
ASHLEY COLE has said Raheem Sterling’s relationship with the media reminds him of what he went through earlier in his career.
In a new interview for ITV4 documentary series Out Of Their Skin, which airs next week, the England legend who won 107 caps for his country discusses how he was portrayed in the media, his club and international career.
Cole says that he believes Raheem Sterling, who also features in the documentary, may now be suffering from similar negative coverage in the media that he went through after moving from Arsenal to Chelsea in 2006.
