New Anglican Bishop to be consecrated on January 26

The new Anglican Bishop of Barbados will be consecrated on Saturday, January 26.

Rev Michael Bruce St John Maxwell will be consecrated in a ceremony at the Gymnasium starting at 5 p.m.

The enthronement ceremony will be held on January 28 at the St Michael Cathedral.

Maxwell, 47, succeeds the Most Reverend Dr John Holder who retired as Bishop and Archbishop of the West Indies on February 28.

Maxwell, an Independent Senator, is married to Dawn Holder-Maxwell. They have two sons, Michael and Christopher.
