The former England player has landed his first management role
SOL CAMPBELL has been appointed as the new Macclesfield Town manager.
It is the first management job for Campbell, a former Arsenal, Tottenham and England player.
Campbell has agreed an eighteen-month deal with Macclesfield Town, who are a League Two basement club.
In a statement the club said: “Macclesfield Town are delighted to announce that former Arsenal and England defender Sol Campbell is to become our new first team manager, after agreeing an 18-month deal with the club.”
The 44-year-old’s new club have been without a manager since it fired Mark Yates in early October.
