The host Chatham Ballhawks Blue won gold medals at the Trillium ‘A’ Challenge Cup tournament Saturday at Ursuline.

The Ballhawks Blue beat the London Sharks 2-0 in the final for a 10-2 overall record.

They beat Ancaster 2-1 in a semifinal and St. Thomas 2-1 in a quarter-final after posting 2-0 wins in pool play against the Smash Strikers and London Sharks.

The Ballhawks White placed seventh.

‘AA’ Hockey

Novices

The Kent Cobras split two Bluewater Hockey League games on the weekend.

Lucas Raspburg had a goal and an assist Sunday in a 3-2 win over Southpoint. Brayden Vandersluis and Milo Sunnen also scored.

Raspburg scored two goals and Ashton Dittmer added one Saturday in a 4-3 loss to Belle River.
