A 55-year-old Chatham man is facing impaired driving charges after Essex OPP found his vehicle partially hanging into a culvert in front of residence in Essex County.
OPP said last Friday, a South Malden Road resident called to report an unwanted person on their property.
OPP members went to the address and found a vehicle partially hanging into a culvert at the driveway entrance to the residence.
While speaking to the driver, it was determined he exhibited signs of impairment and he was placed under arrest, OPP said.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Jan. 17, 2019 to answer to charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and drive motor vehicle in excess of 80 millilitres of alcohol in blood.
OPP said his driver’ licence was seized and his motor vehicle was impounded.
