Justin Badour’s second goal of the night lifted the Chatham Maroons to a 6-5 overtime win against the St. Marys Lincolns on Sunday.
Kyle Fisher also scored twice and Tristan Lewis made 36 saves in the Maroons’ regular-season finale before a crowd of 959 at Chatham Memorial Arena.
Rookie forwards Zach Power and Evan Wells added one goal apiece. Brett Fisher had three assists and Andre Brett had two.
The Maroons went to overtime in their final four games and six of seven. They were 3-0-2-1 in those six games.
They finished in third place in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Western Conference with a 28-12-4-4 record for 64 points.
Badour scored the winning goal at 2:07 of the first overtime.
Austin Maietta of the Lincolns potted the tying goal with 2:43 left in the third.
The Maroons led 3-2 after one period and 5-4 after two.
Justin McIntyre, Carter Schoonderwoerd, Mason Goldie and Josh Martin also scored for the last-place Lincolns. Justin Richer made 37 saves.
The Maroons will begin the playoffs Thursday against the sixth-place Komoka Kings at 7 p.m. at Memorial Arena.
The box office opens at 6 p.m. Admission is $11 for adults, $9 for students and seniors, and $5 for children (under five).
The other first-round matchups are: Leamington-Strathroy, London-St. Thomas and Sarnia-LaSalle.
