The rains could not stop the party at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre (LESC) for Lush: The Ultimate Cooler Experience on Crop Over Thursday.
The scenic lawn of the LESC was transformed as hundreds of patrons from across the Caribbean gathered for a night of partying, liming and good vibes. Flags from Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines and even Belize were jumping and waving as the sweetest sounds of soca blared for six hours straight in the luscious LESC gardens.
The scattered showers didn’t stop the party as some patrons braved the weather. It was as if soca music gave patrons super powers and the cure for the common cold.
The diverse deejay line-up kept the crowd entertained and ensured they had a stellar time. The deejays who enlivened the socaholics with tunes from Barbados and throughout the Caribbean included DJ Spider and Miami Dream Team from the United States, DJ LeviChin from St Lucia, Daddy Fabian, DJ Saga and Krazy Tiger from Barbados.
There was also a special performance by energetic wildcard, Lil Rick who belted out some of his 2018 tunes such as Mudda Sally, Sugar Lump, Ben It and the popular sweet soca single Breakfast In Bed.
The party kept going on a high note until after 10 p.m. with some patrons reluctant to leave the venue. Overall, kudos must be given to La Frere International Inc. for their execution of ‘pure vybes’.
